What is funflex playcare?
We are a unique childcare solution for Calgarians that offers a safe and fun play space that allows you to drop in anytime (space permitting)! We are fully licensed and follow the same standards as any other daycare centre, including staff ratios, first aid training and staff certification in Early Childhood Development.
Whether you need a night out, a few hours to run errands, or a full day to replace your regular child care provider we can help and the best part is your child will BEG to be dropped off!
Peace of Mind
We encourage parents and children to take a tour of our center and meet our staff. Our staff are CPR and First Aid Certified professionals who go through extensive interviews and background investigations prior to being hired. Our safety measures don't end there - we require every adult to show a photo I.D. when picking up children, no exceptions! In addition, nobody can enter or exit the child play area without being 'buzzed' in by our staff. Our security cameras are on during all business hours so nothing goes undetected.
Our goal is to offer no less than what we would expect for our very own children!
We play all day everyday
We offer over 4,800 square feet of FUN! We have the latest video games, a full indoor play gym, a movie theatre, and age appropriate play zones that will offer something for everyone, including Tiny Towne a designated area for our youngest guests aged 12-35 months. We offer a mix of teacher-organized and child-initiated activities so your child can choose how they want to experience our play programs.
THE PLAY ZONE
Full of crafts, games, and imaginative play the play zone has something for everyone, including dress up, Lego, and more. Check our calendar of events to learn about our theme days, special visitors, or scheduled craft activities.
TINY TOWNE
A segregated area for our younger guests with fun and games for toddlers and extra staffing to offer the best care for our tiniest of customers. We know your little ones have very specfic needs and we are sure to please.
FUNFLEX CAFÉ
Our a la carte menu will be sure to have something to offer for even the pickiest of eaters.
THE HANGOUT
Our space designed for children age 7 to 12 includes video games (of course) and our Lightspace Interactive Playmat which will be sure to keep your kids moving while challenging their minds! Plus plenty of crafts, books, and group activities.
PLAYGYM
And to be sure we keep the kids active we have an indoor playground. No sitting around at our place! This confined gym will keeps the active even on the coldest of days.

NOTICE: CHANGES TO RESERVATIONS
EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2012
We will no longer be accepting reservations for any age group in our centre. We had made this change months back for our older children and have decided to also make the change for our Tiny Towne and Toddlers. This change is due to the number of parents that are not cancelling their reservations and we end up turning away children we could have accepted. We are a drop-in centre and want to take every child we can but there will be times we are full. We understand the needs of some parents to have guaranteed care for their child and we truly think the first-come-first serve will actually allow us to be more able to accept more children. You can always call the centre prior to dropping of your child to check on availability for your child.
